And that is the genuine thing. But then there are also people who are offering hair which they say is from Britney, but they forget to explain that that is Britney, their dog, and not Britney Spears. Shame.

Anna Nicole Smith's baby girl is claimed by 4 different hopeful fathers. A photographer, a lawyer, a prince and a prison inmate. You can't dream this up for a drama series. This is real life. I feel sory for this girl, because she is so young, and it looks that her future will hold loads of problems for her. An other shocking revelation was made by the people from TMZ.com. They say that a doctor from California had prescribed methadon, that is a medicine commonly prescribed to heroin addicts, to Anna Nicole Smith, only 2 weeks before her baby girl was born. The interesting angle in this story is that the doctor prescribed the methadon to an alias of Anna Nicole, and that is of course a big no no, for a substance as methadon. They are not using their female soldiers as prostitutes, however, no, they have invented something far more strange. They are using their young, probably very handsome, male recruits. The boys are forced, sometimes even tortured, into prostitution. According to the video, daily abuse of recruits is comon in the Russian army, and the video gets very graphical here. Now the US airforce had a soldier whom we all could love without to much problems, sergeant Michelle Manhart, and then they demote her instantly. Why? She posed naked in Playboy and the same photo spread showed her also as how her fellow soldiers know her... in uniform, doing her job. What is wrong with the US military? Don't they realize that Michelle could have done miracles for their soldiers morale? My guess is that her pictures will end up in Iraq on a very large scale, because the boys in uniform have their fantasies like everyone else in this world. I've just promoted Michelle Manhart as my girl of this month, and that is very special indeed, as I'm more of a mans girl myself, if you understand what I mean.

Those were the headlines for today. Yesterday I was talking about an old woman, Helen Mirren, because she won the best actress award at the BAFTAs. And today I will be talking again about an old woman, Camilla, or better known to you and me as the Duches of Cornwall. Why, well it became public knowledge that Camilla has to have a very sensitive operation, called a hystorectomy. It's a typical women thing. According to what I have heard 1 in every 5 will have a hystorectomy, but normally only an old woman will have one. What is a hystorectomy? Well, it has something to do with the fact that when a woman gets older her vagina muscles are loosing their power, and everything starts to shag. Bladder, sometimes rectum etc. And that can be very uncomfortable. And the restoring procedure is called a hystorectomy. My question here is: why did the public have to know all of this? Isn't she allowed to have some privacy? I sincerely hope for her that this operation, which will take place sometime in March, doesn't hurt her to much.

And, The Police are back again. I never liked them to much, so I couldn't care less, all though I do like the music Sting makes solo. They should listen to people who are saying: stop at the top. Don't make a comeback. Don't waste your time, and other peoples money.

The Italian leage was shut down, because a police officer was killed during riots, after supporters went to show their "love" for their club. Football stadiums are concidered not to be safe, and have to get more CCTV cameras, better entrances and a lot of other improvements. What happened to a happy family outing to see a football game?

Helen Mirren and the feature film The Queen won awards for best actress (Helen) and best film (The Queen) at the BAFTAs this weekend. I have seen the trailer, not the film it self, and I think: YES, it looks OK. The nice thing here is of course that a very old woman is recognized. Most of the time, a woman is history in the film world after she passed 30 years of age. But, being selfish, and keeping my own movie debut in mind, which should come any time now, I hope that this is not a trend for years to come. It's far more interesting to have beautiful and sexy girls like Angelina Jolie and myself reap in the awards. Don't forget... we are doing an awful lot to keep in shape. Anyway, congratulations Helen. By the way, I came across a lot of nude and semi nude shots of Helen Mirren, when I was looking for pictures of Helen on the web. What's that for a non sense? Dramatic Footage Of US Shoot-out. American police have released a video of a high speed chase which ended in a shoot-out that left the suspect dead. It happened in Utah last winter after police pulled over the vehicle for a routine traffic check.

Today I start with the letter bombs which are exploding all over London the last couple of weeks. In it self it's very scaring that you can't trust the mail you're about to receive, and I've given some helpful tips in the video, on how to avoid personal injury. The video is absolutely rediculous. Someone is making a statement, and this man is displayed in a small picture in picture, with the main picture being a shot of an office building where nothing is happening.

And, if you want to see some nice footage of Anna Nicole Smith, the playboy girl who hit it big time when she married a billionaire, then this is the place to be. I think it's so sad for her that she is not able to enjoy all the money that rich man left her. But, atleast, her new born daughter, about 5 months old now, is well taken care for.

Those were the headlines for today. I don't know what is more stupid. Allowing a 67 year old woman to become a mother, or to allow a 12 year old boy to have a sex change. OK, the woman, Carmela Bousada, lied about her age, saying to the American doctors, who will do anything for money, that she was only 55, but even that age would be far to old to become a mother. Imagine, when her twin boys grow up to be teenagers. They don't have a mother at home. No, they only have a grandmother at home. It is very likely that those 2 boys will have problems for a long time to come, and I think it's irresponsible from both the doctors and Carmela to have those babies. And she is now looking for a husband. Why... because she is short on cash. Raising children costs money. Everyone in the world knows that. Children need love and attention as well. I hope that there is somewhere in this world, probably somewhere in Spain, someone who wants to raise those twin boys as his sons.

The parents of this German boy who allowed him to have a sex change at age 12 to become the worlds youngest sex change, and their doctors, should be locked up. I live in Thailand, and in every class room there are boys who want to be girls. Playing with make-up, hanging out with the girls. Most of the time this is a stage in their lives they have to go through and deal with. If they are serious enough, then after high school, thus at an age that they have given it some serious thoughts, they can pursue whatever they want. Up to then... let them play. This boy in Germany should have been allowed to play. Let him pretend to be a girl. But don't do anything to him what has so serious concequences for him, at such a young age. He is a minor at age 12, which means that he can't be hold responsible for this thoughts or deads. That is something what his doctors and parents should have realized. And letting German taxpayers foot the medical bill for this is just plain and simply outrageous.

In this show she speaks frankly about sex, and gives sex education, to young adults. The show is very popular, and she receives after each episode around 70,000 text messages and e-mails. She is brave, because she does all of this, as she is a Muslim. Talking about sex, and giving sex education is a big no no in the Middle East to start with, and when a woman is doing so... Thankfully, Egypt is a moderate country and the Muslim clerks are not giving her much problems, but that is only for now. I'm afraid that it will be only a matter of time before Dr. Heba Kotb will face serious problems. I hope I'm wrong but lets wait and see what will happen to her, and the tv station.

Former Miss Brazil, Taiza Thomsen, is missing. The last time she was seen was somewhere in Europe. Could be the U.K. or Belgium. A friend of hers said she was dating a Polish guy, with whom she wanted to marry. The police is afraid that she is being sold as a sex slave, but I doubt that. She went missing in a part of Europe where that problem doesn't exist, and where police in general keep tabs on sex offenders and their victims. But that said, I don't have a clue myself where she can be. So if any off you have seen her, look at her picture to make sure that we are talking about the same girl, then please contact your local police station.

Police found the bodies of seven youths in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. They showed signs of torture, and were found inside a car on this city's poor north side, and they apparently were killed by gang members from a rival shantytown.

22-year-old Nick Wallis, who has muscular dystrophy, had hoped to experience sex before he died. After telling staff at the Douglas House hospice in Oxford of his wish, they decided to help him, according to a report in London's Daily Telegraph.

A ring of gangsters who traded in the bodies of women they murdered, selling them as brides to keep dead bachelors happy in the afterlife, has been arrested in China.

Those were the headlines for today. I'm happy I don't live in China. It seems that the body of a dead woman is worth a lot more then if that woman is still alive. According to the shocking story I read, women are killed and then sold to families who want a "ghost" wife for their deceased, unmaried, sons. The murdered woman is maried to their son, and then placed next to him in his grave. Of course, this does not happen on a large scale, but it did happen, and the murderer is arrested and awaits the death penalty. Not only is this horrible, it also illustrates that the 1 child policy in China, is failing. Parents prefere to have a boy instead of a girl, so there are loads of Chinese boys who are not maried. But they still need a wife after they have died to be comfortable.

The people who are taking care for Nick Wallis were far more civilized. They helped him to have sex before he is going to die of muscular dystrophy. They arranged for him to have a visit from a prostitute. The remarkable thing here was not that a sex worker would help a physical handicaped person. No, that is nothing special. Happens more often then you think, and as far as I'm concerned, there is nothing wrong with that. It's a far better option then killing women, don't you agree? No, the remarkable factor was that his care takers were working for a Roman Catholic hospice. The nuns said, and I'm so happy to hear that, that they were there to take care for both his mentally and physical needs, and that it wasn't up to them to make any moral judgements with regards to Nick's needs. Could only everyone be so understanding as the people who are working in that hospice. The world would be a far more better place.

Those were the headlines for today. Els van Doren, a Belgian woman, died in November last year, and there was a lot of talk about it, and I didn't comment on it, that is, until now. The Belgian police announced that she was killed by her best friend. Why? They both loved the same guy. I think that the Belgian police should try to get their facts in order. You're NOT someones best friend if you kill that person. You might pretend that you are a good friend, but you are not. So, if the police has this fact wrong to start with, one should think again if this BEST friend did actually kill Els. What about her husband? Or the pilot of the plane, who let her jump at 13,000 feet altitude? Anyway, I don't care whoever killed her. She was jumping out of airplanes, and she knew what kind of risks she was taking. Els jumped for thrills, not because she had to attack the enemy behind enemy lines. She went out with a bang, that is for sure.

And some good news for Americans who think: I screwed up big time, no one wants me to employ me ever again. Guyana has just hired Bernard Kerik, a former New York Police Commisioner, who hired illegal maids, didn't pay his taxes, and received illegal gifts, yes that guy is hired in Guyana, to rejuvened the police department. The security situation in Guyana has to be desperate if you have to hire people like Mr. Kerik. I don't know how much money Mr. Kerik is being paid, but whatever amount it is, it is to much.

Ecuador's first female defense minister died Wednesday in the collision of two helicopters, that also killed her daughter, and five members of the military. You'r sure that this was an accident?

Republic of Georgia authorities, aided by the CIA, set up a sting operation last summer. This led to the arrest of a Russian man, who tried to sell a small amount of, believe it or not, nuclear-bomb grade uranium, which was hidden in a plastic bag in his jacket pocket.

Four of the five Americans killed when a U.S. security company's helicopter crashed in a dangerous Sunni neighborhood in central Baghdad, were shot execution-style in the back of their heads, this according to Iraqi and U.S. officials.

Those were the headlines for today. I really got upset when I heard that Ecuador's first female defense minister was killed in a helicopter crash. Call me suspicious, but I don't believe this was an accident. Most of the soldiers are man, and they might not have been very happy with a woman as their boss. But then again, it might have been just that: a helicopter on a training flight, and the defense minister just thought, come lets go with them, they are training, so things might go wrong, but, who cares? Oh, and eh, yes, let us not forget to take my daughter with me.

You can say what you want from those Sunni fighters in Baghdad. But at least they are very clear: they do not take prisoners. You crash, and your still not dead? No problem. We will help you. And, again, they were not so brutal as to torture those poor Americans. No, they were executed with a shot to their heads. Based on the fact that we should not forget that there is a war going on in Iraq, with Americans a natural target, makes me think that the Sunni fighters were behaving like normal soldiers in any armed conflict. With other words, I don't really understand why it was important news that the surviving prisoners were executed. And since these Americans were not soldiers, but working for a security company, one can ask the question: were they any good in their jobs to start with? If they were good, they would not have ended up dead, right?

Israel's attorney general said Tuesday that he intends to indict President Moshe Katsav on charges of: rape, harassment, sexual relations involving the abuse of power, obstruction of justice, and, of course, illegally accepting gifts. I think they need a new president there.

A family has built what could be the first public shrine in Mexico City to honnor Jesus Malverde, Mexico's so-called narco-saint, revered by many of the nation's drug traffickers.

Location, location, location. Almost anywhere else, the tiny dilapidated studio wouldn't attract much more than mice. But this is London, and the 77-square-foot former storage room, slightly bigger than a prison cell, and without electricity, is sold for $335,000. It's a bargain.

Israel's attorney general is going with blazing guns after his own president, and this will take away the attention from their war against Lebanon last year, which was essentially a big failure. The Hezbollah is stronger then ever, the missing soldiers are still somewhere in Lebanon, or Iran, or... I don't know, and the Israelis don't know either. I hope that the punishment for: rape, harassment, sexual relations involving the abuse of power, obstruction of justice, and, of course, illegally accepting gifts, is 48 hours of comunity services as a street sweaper in one of Haifa's poorest neighbourhoods. That will learn him a lesson.

1. Robert Pickton, on trial for killing dozens of women, and feeding them to his animals, told police that he was planning one final murder, this to bring his tally to an "even 50", his prosecutor said yesterday.

2. If you think of the most crime-ridden place on Earth then what comes to mind: Sao Paulo, Brazil? Lagos, Nigeria? The Bronx, New York? Try the Vatican. The small nation-city ruled by Pope Benedict XVI apparently sees more criminal cases per capita than any other part of the world, the German magazine Spiegel reports.

And 3. Austrian firefighters rescued an 81-year-old retiree, who spent four days stuck in her tub, after she got in for a warm bath and couldn't find enough strength to get out. This is a very clean, old lady.

Those were the headlines for today. Some newspapers and magazines are known to exaggerate facts. Magnifying statistics gives a wrong impression. This is what has happened in Der Spiegel's report on which city/country is the crime ridden place in the world. The Vatican has only 400 plus citizens, and those 400 plus citizens, are not committing many crimes. It is the visitors from outside the Vatican who are committing all kind of crimes like fraud, stealing handbags etc. Yearly around 18 million people will visit the Vatican, and as such bad things will happen. My guess is, that although Der Spiegel says differently, that the Vatican is one of the safest places on earth to be. Blessed by a higher power.

This 81 year old lady in Austria who spend 4 days in a tub was probably trying to set a world record. At least, it has to be an achievement which should be published in the Guiness book of World Records. This is clearly a case which illustrates the importance of people helping each other, and keeping an eye on each other. I hope that this old lady will get all the help she needs to live either on her own, or in an old folks home.

A damaged container ship, grounded off the English coast and listing badly, began to lose some of its cargo in heavy winds, and coast guards said Sunday they were on alert because the vessel could break up.

Police have identified the man they believe poisoned Alexander Litvinenko. The suspected killer was captured on cameras at Heathrow, as he flew into Britain, to carry out the murder.

Taliban spokesperson says the ruling council has allotted $1 million towards opening Islamic education centers in six Afghan provinces for boys first, and later for girls (as long as they are no older then 8 years old, and want to study the Koran).

Those were the headlines for today. Let me explain here something. The U.S. and coalition partners did their best to get the Taliban out of Afghanistan. They really tried. And they did not succeed. During an offensive from the Taliban against government run schools, 20 teachers were killed, and around 200 schools were burned down. And now, they say, they will open schools, use the old textbooks from when the Taliban was still in power, and the clock is set back several hundreds of years. It looks very unlikely that girls will get an education. (Learning the Koran, and that only until you are 8 year, is NOT what education is all about). This is a very bad situation, and I urge to do something about it. Little girls are people also, and they need all the education they can get.

I'm really in favor of Hillary Clinton to become the first female president of the U.S.A. Not because I think she is absolutely the right person. No. But I do think it is time for us woman to take over. The man have proven to make a big mess out of it, so let us woman give it a try. Hillary can't do worse then George W. Bush. That's for sure. And, I think that both the Iranian president and the president of North Korea will fall instantly in love with her, doing exactly what she wants. Just like Bill did. Mexico has extradited a purported drug cartel boss and three other alleged major traffickers to the United States, a move that Washington on Saturday called "unprecedented" in the cross-border fight against organized crime.

Kidnappers grabbed six Filipino workers off a merchant ship Saturday in the latest hostage-taking in Nigeria's restive southern oil-producing region, officials said.

A Vancouver pig farmer is accused of murdering six women. Marnie Frey's remains were unearthed on a pig farm in Port Coquitlam, on the outskirts of Vancouver. The farm belonged to Robert Pickton, known as "Uncle Willie," a pig farmer well-known for the parties that he threw for prostitutes and bikers at his quasi- legal drinking club, the Piggy Palace. Investigators dug up the remains of one woman after another, from body parts to minute traces of DNA, until the count came to 30. Four could not be identified. The other 26 were among the names of 67 women who had disappeared from the Downtown Eastside streets. On Monday Mr. Pickton goes on trial for six murders, the only cases in which body parts survive.

Those were the headlines for today. Uncle Willie was a busy man. He probably killed around 67 woman, although only remains of 30 were found on his farm. According to the story I read, this is far worse then any horror movie I've ever seen, or probably will see. Robert Pickton, did not only kill the woman, no, he also fed them to his pigs. And word on the street is, that human flesh even ended up in the regular foodchain. How sick can you be? Why do people have to be so cruel to each other. What goes on in their minds? I'm a very big fan of CSI, no matter in which place they are, and I feel sorry for the police officers who had to investigate Mr. Pickton. You need a very, very strong stomach if you are being called to a lunatic case like this. And don't forget the surviving family members. How can they cope with such an animal. The scary part here is, as far as I'm concerned, that this guy has to be insane. And, if you're insane, you will not end up in a regular prison, but in a mad house. Thus, he will be alowed to escape back into the general population sooner or later. Scary. Better to avoid Vancouver pig farmers for the time being.

Today only weird news from the good old U.S. of A. Internet Love Triangle Ends in Murder of 22-Year-Old Man.

According to a newspaper: Shawn Hornbeck met with police, and dated a girl. The already bizarre kidnapping case of two Missouri boys took an even weirder turn when it was reported one of them, Shawn Hornbeck, had actually met with police, and was carrying on a relationship with a girl. Let's make a movie of the week out of this story.

A shot duck lives for two days in a refrigerator. The tough duck, which was hit in the wing and a leg, is being treated at a wildlife sanctuary. And as of today he listens to the name: Donald. Good for you, Donald Duck.

And finally for today: According to police: a 29-Year-Old sex offender attempted to enroll in an Arizona elementary school. A charter school alerted authorities to this 29-year-old sex offender, who tried to enroll there, pretending he was just 12 years old, in what sheriff's officials said on Friday, may well have been an attempt to lure children into sexual abuse.

Those were the headlines for today. Shawn Hornbeck keeps surprising everyone around him. Everyone keeps saying that he was kidnapped 4 years ago. But, according to the article I just read, he went to the police to report a stolen bicycle, and he was dating a girl at one of the most prestigious (all girls) schools you can find in St. Louis. To me it sounds like someone who ran away from home, and found happiness with someone else. Of course there is no way for me to comment on the fact if he is sexually abused, as I don't know (yet). And, yes, he was, and still is, a minor, and the guy who took Shawn into his house should have reported his where abouts. But I seriously wonder about kidnapping. What is all most a certainty is however that he and his parents will have a very difficult time coming to them, not only to come to terms with what has happened, but to cope with the fact that Shawn is no longer the boy they knew before he disappeared.

And that 29 year old who thought he could enroll in elementary school, by saying he was 12. He obviously looks young. But, what was going on in his mind? Did he want to be re-educated? Was he looking for young boys and girls? This looks an awfull lot of this case at the end of last year where this guy was being helped by his mother. Nice people. Try to avoid them.

A woman who disappeared in the jungles of northeastern Cambodia as a child, has apparently been found, after living in the wild for 19 years. According to my sorses she was found naked, and looked more like an animal then like a woman.

A fire in a Dubai high-rise apartment building on Thursday, triggered nightmarish images reminiscent of Sept. 11, with one construction worker falling to his death, and dozens of workers trapped above the blaze, trying to scale the building's exterior.

The United States is criticizing China's anti-satellite weapons test, in which an old Chinese weather satellite was destroyed by a missile. The Chinese are warned: do not shoot down any American spy satelittes, or else...

Those were the headlines for today. Imagine: living alone for 19 years in a jungle. A woman in Cambodia disappeared when she was 8 years old, and lived alone in the jungle for 19 years. According to the story, she would steal rice from farmers, and they captured her. The woman does not speak any language, not even the language of the monkeys like Tarzan did. And, to be honest, when Jane found Tarzan, he was at least a handsome guy. But this girl... don't get me started. The big question here is of course: what did she do all this time, and where did she hang out. Was she kidnapped, and never returned, and why did no one find her earlier?

The United States are not happy with the fact that China can shoot satelittes out off the sky. They concider space as their personal backyard, OK, they allow other players in, as long as they don't mess around with their toys. One of the main defence lines for the U.S. is their eyes in the sky, their satelittes, without it, they would be blind, and it would be very difficult to direct their soldiers and other weapons of destruction to their targets. So, the U.S. feel that China should not be allowed to have a weapon that can effectively blind them if push comes to shuffle. The United States have the capability since the 1980's to shoot satelittes out of space if they want to do so. This sounds a bit like nuclear weapons. It's OK for the U.S. to have them, and its very wrong if the competition got them as well. I would like to suggest to the Americans: learn to live in a world where everyone is equal. If you can have something, your brother in China is allowed the same.

Rebels in eastern Congo have killed and eaten two silverback mountain gorillas, conservationists said Wednesday, warning they fear more of the endangered animals may have been slaughtered in the lawless region. Why don't those rebels eat chicken like normal people?

A year after disclosure of a domestic spying program, that President Bush said was within his authority to operate, the administration shifted its position, and said it would seek the approval of an independent panel of federal judges.

And finally for today: The scientists who mind the Doomsday Clock moved it two minutes closer to midnight on Wednesday -- symbolizing the annihilation of civilization and adding the perils of global warming for the first time.

Those were the headlines for today. Rebels are eating gorillas. How sick can you be? A gorilla is as close as you can get, without actually eating a human. Are there no other animals for them to eat, or are they so hungry that they will eat anything they see? Do realize that there are less then a thousand of those silverback mountain gorillas left, and the last thing they should have to worry about is being eaten by humans. Shame on those rebels.

A bit late perhaps, but president Bush finally realized that you need court orders to spy on people. His administration promised to solve the problems it had created by using telephone records of millions of people. I think for once the American people should be proud of their administration, and of president Bush. Admitting mistakes is one of the most difficult, and humiliating things one has to do, and they just did that. Staying in America: don't forget to apply for a passport if you want to fly overseas. You won't be able to get back into the U.S.A. without a valid passport. Don't be afraid, everyone else in the world needs a passport to go and visit other countries, and it hasn't stopped a lot of people from traveling.

U.S. wrestlers were welcomed to Iran on Tuesday, with bouquets of pink and white flowers, at a time of increasing tensions between the two countries.

Russia stepped up security in major cities Wednesday, deploying thousands of extra police, and urging public vigilance, a day after officials warned of a possible terrorist threat on public transportation.

Fidel Castro himself told surgeons not to perform a colostomy, opting instead for a course of surgery that produced a serious complication, which left him in a far worse condition, this according to new details published in a Spanish newspaper today. When, oh when is Castro going to die?

Those were the headlines for today. Problems in Russia. Officials warned of a possible terrorist threat against public transportation. Of course, there was no word with regards on from who the threat came, but it is understood that Muslims are the terrorists who are planning those attacks. In no way, and you should not think something else, is it the former KGB who is planning to blow up public transportation. Anyone who would suggest something like that is completely out off order. And the Russians still have no clue as to who poisoned their ex spy in the U.K. But, again, they are sure, that it wasn't their spy agency. I'm saying all of this, because although Russia is no longer a communist state, and is on reasonable good footing with the U.S. now, that doesn't mean that the state is less dangerous for its citizens. Money corrupts, and that happens there more then anywhere else on this moment.

And Fidel Castro is the one who made the decision on what to do on the operating table. He told surgeons NOT to perform a colostomy, but to attach his intestines directly to his rectum. That was obviously not a good decision, but, of course even a doctor would not dare to second guese Fidel Castro. And it looks right now, that Fidel Castro is having very serious problems, and he might die any day soon. His timing couldn't have better as far as I'm concerned. The U.S., who wants Castro dead as soon as possible, don't have a lot of man power left to wreck havoc in Cuba, as they are busy on all kind of other fronts. Castro's problems might somehow influence the U.S. decision on how many extra soldiers to send to Iraq, keeping in mind that they need some spare soldiers to send to Cuba in the near future. Or does the U.S. not look that far ahead?

Who killed princess Diana?

A storm blamed for at least 41 deaths in six states spread into the Northeast on Monday, coating trees, power lines and roads with a shell of ice up to a half-inch thick and knocking out power to more than half a million homes and businesses.

A judge in Britain ruled Monday that she alone would determine what caused the deaths of Princess Diana and her boyfriend, rejecting arguments that a jury was the best way to ensure justice. And we all know what the outcome of this inquiry will be, won't we?

Those were the headlines for today. What a thoughtful judge there in England. A jury is not allowed to say that Diana's death was caused by a conspiracy, but a judge can, so she will determine alone what cased her death. You can't honnestly expect that the outcome of this inquiry will be that prince Philip had something to do with her death, because that would be the end of the Kingdom. Even after 10 years, Diana is still very popular, and the general audience demands to know what has happened. And they will never know. This is one case of: it's better not to know. You don't want to throw a complete nation into chaos, and let the heir to the crown lock up, won't you? The best thing you do is just keep thinking whatever you think that has happened. If you believe it was a regular car accident, fine by me. If you think it was a conspiracy against Diana becoming a part of the Muslim world, it's fine by me also. It's up to you.

They are all dead...

Iraq hanged two aides to Saddam Hussein, Barzan al-Tikriti and Awad al-Bander, before dawn today, but government efforts to avoid a repeat of uproar over the ousted leader's rowdy execution, were thwarted, when his half-brother's head was severed by the hangman's noose.

U.S. troops, in a possible violation of the Philippines' constitution, have taken part in combat operations against guerrillas linked to Al Qaeda, an activist group said in a report today.

Louise Brown, who was the world's first "test-tube" baby, has given birth to her first child. Congratulations Louise. I love this happy ending, or is it a beginning?

Those were the headlines for today. Barzan al-Tikriti and Awad al-Bander were hanged early today. Saddam's half brother was in fact executed twice, the hanged him, and to make sure that he was dead, the hangman made a "mistake", letting the hangman's noose ripp off his head. How horrible can it get? This time around there are no pictures or videos to show, as the Iraqi government decided that that might not be a good publicity stunt for them. What amazed me here was the fact that the Americans said, and keep saying, that the hanging of Saddam Hussein and the two man mentioned above, was an Iraqi affair, and that they had nothing to do with it. Yes, the Americans did not personally execute them. That is true. But, then again, Saddam did not personally execute all the victims of his regime, but he was still held accountable for what was done. These horrible executions, which serve no purpose, other then to make martyrs out of Saddam and his man, were approved by the Americans. Saddam Hussein, Barzan al-Tikriti and Awad al-Bander were delivered by the Americans on a silver platter to their Iraqi executioners. And as such I think president Bush is as much responsible for their executions as Saddam was for the executions of his victims. He could have tried to stop all this madness, but he didn't give it any thought.

And finally: times flies. It's already 28 years since the first test tube baby was born. And now that baby is a no longer a baby, but a normal woman. Louise Brown gave birth to her first baby, and she didn't need all those specialized help from doctors, her parents needed. Just one heck of a good husband did the job for her. But there is something to think about here: without that test tube which provided life for Louise, her child would not have existed as well. A lot of people are against abortion, because it kills life, given by God. Interfering in the opposite way, like what happened with Louise resulted in new born babies who were not supposed to be born, as they were enginered by doctors, and are not a gift from God. Why is no one protesting against this I wonder?

The Pentagon, and to a lesser extent the CIA, have been using a little-known power, to look at the banking, and credit records of hundreds of Americans, and others suspected of terrorism, or espionage, within the United States.

Air force helicopters on Saturday started evacuating dozens of sick and wounded people, from the central tea growing region in Sri Lanka, where landslides have killed at least 17 people.

David Beckham won't play again for Real Madrid, after announcing his departure at the end of the season for the Los Angeles Galaxy. I hope David doesn't forget his true fans, who are living of course outside the U.S.A.

Those were the headlines for today. Poor losers, that is what you can call Real Madrid. Real Madrid's coach decided that he would not let David Beckham play again for his club, after David made it known that he would move to California at the end off this season. Audiences expect him to play, that's why they pay a large amount of money. Real Madrid should expect him to play as well, as they still pay him a lot of money. Saying that my dear David would be somewhere else with his mind, or legs, is silly. And not to have a final game with my David on European soil is unforgiveble.

And did you know that the Americans, and more to the point, the Department of Defence and the CIA can check your bank records, or credit status if you live there? And they don't need a court order for that. Loads and loads of people are being investigated. And only a few of them, if any at all, will turn out to be terrorists or spies. So what happened to their privacy? What can you do to protect yourself from those snooping agencies? Who decides if you are a terror suspect?

North Korea condemned today, the deployment of U.S. stealth fighters in South Korea, as an act of aggression, aimed at launching war against the communist country. A squadron of F-117A Nighthawk warplanes, and some 300 airmen from Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, arrived in South Korea earlier this week for routine training. The deployment typically lasts four months.

A powerful magnitude 8.2 earthquake off northern Japan triggered tsunami warnings today, sending thousands fleeing to higher ground, but causing no reported injuries or damage.

Somali lawmakers voted today to authorize the government to declare martial law, the deputy parliament speaker said, as the country's internationally recognized leaders struggle to assert their authority, after battling an Islamic movement, that had controlled much of southern Somalia.

It's difficult for me to be polite if people are doing dumb things like this.

That was the multimillion-dollar question yesterday, after the Los Angeles Galaxy, of the Major League Soccer, announced it had signed David Beckham to a contract, reportedly worth $250 million over five years.

Those were the headlines for today. What goes on in the mind of a woman who thinks it's OK to put her baby in a heated oven? Putting your baby in an oven, just because you've broken up with your boy friend is a very cruel thing to do. It's not a surprice that so many bad things are happening to the Americans at this moment, with people like these living unchecked in your society. In America you don't have to be afraid of terrorists alone... no you should be afraid of everyone, including your mother.

Staying in America today. Why spend $ 250 million on David Beckham. Yes, we know you guys have money. And yes we know that you can't play a proper game of soccer. And yes we know you feel left out of this very profitable game. But investing this kind of money in a person, no matter who he/she is, is insane. First off all, David is not my type, and the amount of money he has doesn't change that. Secondly, and more important, one good kick to his knees and $ 250 million goes down the drain. The guy is getting older, and there are younger, much more tallented and more handsome players available. And finally: Even if David Beckham would be the best soccer player in the world, it takes 11 players on the field to create a winning team, not just one. And it takes about 20 good teams to make up for an interesting leage. Not just one very extremely well paid player. This is insane. If you really want to waste money, then waste it on me.

Britain's MI5 domestic intelligence agency plans to send out e-mail terror alerts to the public, pioneering an effort to use the Internet, to warn of heightened risk.

Gunmen ambushed a convoy, carrying Shiite Muslim pilgrims home from Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday, in central Iraq, killing 11 people, a provincial governor said.

And finally for today: A 12-year-old Turkeys boy died by hanging himself, from the ceiling of his home, a hospital confirmed Wednesday, and according to family members, the boy was copying Saddam Hussein's execution. I wonder if his family members were shouting insults at him, while he hanged himself.

Those were the headlines for today. We here at BRC News don't understand why children think its cool to kill themselves like Saddam was executed. Earlier we had this boy somewhere in the U.S. who hanged him as a copy of Saddam's execution and now a Turkeys boy did the same. Although we don't know anything about the private circumstances of this family drama, we suspect that the boy was seriously troubled to start with, his family failed to realize that, and Saddam's execution is used as an excuse. It would not be wrong to investigate this boys dead a bit further.

MI5, yes the spys who brought us James Bond, M, Q and some other letters, are now going to send e-mail alerts if there is a serious threat of being blown up by a terrorist. There are some small problems here. First of all: sending e-mails to whom? The general public? Or do you have to subscribe to the e-mail alerts? And all subscribers are probably automatically branded as potential terrorists. Secondly: you will enter a no win situation. If MI5 sends an e-mail and nothing happens, they will look like a bunch of amateurs. And if they don't send an e-mail they will be accused of... yes being a bunch of amateurs. Finally: sending an e-mail alert for a serious threat equals as spreading terror your self. Because you scare the living daylight out of people if they receive such an e-mail. Terror is NOT only about killing people. Terror is about SCARING people. What I'm saying now will not make me a very popular guy, but I'm saying it anyway. All those victims from 9/11 and other terror attacks are dead, and they don't suffer anymore. No, it's the families and all those people who have nothing to do with them, who are still suffering. Being scared of entering skyscrapers, being afraid of flying etc. That is what terror is all about, and sending e-mail allerts, all though the intention is good, is a form of terrorising people, but then without killing some innocent bystanders.

Israel arrested the former imam of Ohio's largest mosque, after he was deported from the United States last week, the Shin Bet internal security service said on Tuesday, ending a four-day mystery about his whereabouts.

And finally for today: A swimmer was rescued by his wife, after a huge saltwater crocodile clamped its jaws around his head, and shoulders, as he snorkelled near a reef. Sgt. Jeff Tanswell, a policeman, was swimming in waters off Thursday Island, in the Torres Strait, between northern Australia and Papua New Guinea, when he was attacked by this giant crocodile measuring at least 10-feet (but it could have been bigger, I'm not sure).

Those were the headlines for today. As you see, nothing much happened today. Apart then from the fact that the U.S. is using a lot of violence in Somalia trying to kill SUSPECTED bombers. They might have been indicted in a U.S. court, but they never were on trial, and that seems a technicality which we better forget. In this case I wonder who is acting more criminally: the U.S. for killing all those people in order to kill 2 in Somalia, or the president of Somalia who condones the U.S. military actions in his country. If U.S. intelligence knew where the suspected embassy bombers were, couldn't they have engaged some marines to kidnap them, and bring them to face justice in the United States. Yes, I know kidnapping is also against the law, but at least innocent bystanders are not killed.

Sgt. Jeff Tanswell had all the luck of the world. He went snorkelling and was attacked by a giant crocodile. His wife, who is a police officer also, managed to get her boat between her husband and the crocodile, and saved his life. That has to be humiliating for Jeff. He will hear for the rest of his life on every party he attends that his wife has rescued him. But, I could have told you that from the beginning: we, the woman, are far better then the man. Get used to it boys.

The self-proclaimed sovereign principality of Sealand, built atop a World War II artillery platform in the North Sea, is for sale for the whopping price tag of $977 million. Its price tag and remote accessibility would make it perfect for a James Bond villain.

A U.S. submarine and a Japanese merchant ship collided in the Arabian Sea, the U.S. Navy and Japan's Kyodo News agency said Tuesday. It was pure luck that no one was seriously injured. That is what U.S. and Japanese technology is all about these days: Opposites attrack.

New Orleans faces a spike in killings. Nine people have been slain in New Orleans, in the first eight days of the new year, deepening the sense of despair over the slow pace of the city's recovery, and leaving police and civic leaders grasping for ways to stop the bloodshed.

U.S. targeted al Qaeda suspects in Somalia. A U.S. gunship has conducted a strike against two suspected al Qaeda operatives in southern Somalia, but it was not known whether the mission was successful, U.S. news networks reported on Monday. What the F... is the U.S. doing in Somalia to start with.

And finally: Stephen Hawking hopes to go in space in 2009. Astrophysicist Stephen Hawking says he wants to undertake a zero-gravity flight aboard an airplane this year, as a precursor to a journey into space, a newspaper reported Monday. That will be interesting to see: a wheelchair floating in zero gravity.

Those were the headlines for today. According to an article I read either at the end of last year, or early this year, murders are up in most U.S. cities, except in New Orleans, where murders were on an all time low. The main reason given was: Huricane Katrina. Half of the population was gone somewhere else, and you can't kill someone in New Orleans if he/she isn't there right? But those signs of good fortune for the city are gone. Now they want to install a curfew, forbiding people to go out at night. For a city that is famous for it's night life, that has to be it's worse nightmare. The army and the reserve can't spare extra troops for the city, as everyone is needed in Iraq of course, so what to do? My personal advice would be: don't do anything. It will sort it self out sooner or later. And this creates a buyers market for real estate, and I'm still looking for a nice house in the States.

And, I do admire Stephen Hawking very much. But even he must realize that his fysical handicaps are so big, that going into space, would not something his doctors would recomment. We all have our dreams, and sometimes they should just stay that: dreams. I'm sure that it will be technically possible by 2009 to send him up, but could the amount of energy and money spent on this project not be used in a more humane manner, for example feeding poor and hungry people in Africa?

In an odd but groundbreaking court ruling, involving the definition of a family where same-sex partners are involved, a Canadian court declared that a 5-year-old Ontario boy can legally have a father and two mothers, the International Herald Tribune reports.

Prince William lost his mother in a high-speed car chase with paparazzi; he's not about to take any chances with his girlfriend. British media reported Sunday that the 24-year-old prince has become increasingly frustrated, as photographers continue to hound his girlfriend of three years, Kate Middleton, amid speculation of a possible royal engagement.

Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons, according to a report in the Sunday Times of London. The paper cites several Israeli military sources saying that two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear “bunker-busters.” Israel denied the report, and well, only time will tell.

Those were the headlines for today. The Sunday Times is a reputable newspaper, and I do believe most of what they publish. Thus, I think it is likely that in the near future Israel will do something stupid as throwing a nuclear device on Iran. Iran is recalcitrant and doesn't want to listen to what most of the world tells it to do. Israel's plans, if true, will definitively trigger the biggest war this world has ever seen, as all Muslims will then unite against Christians. And I don't think we can expect a lot of help from North Korea. Related to this: I heard that the U.S. plans to produce a new kernhead, for the first time since more then 20 years. What kind of double standards do we have here. Why is it OK for Israel and the U.S. to have nuclear weapons, and other countries are expected to sit still and be scared of them. Yes, I understand that when Iran has a nuclear bomb, they might become more dangerous then they are now. And that is true for North Korea as well. But you can't deny one country to do something, what other countries are permitted to do. The biggest danger, in terms of nuclear powers, still comes from the U.S.A., as they are the ones who have used a nuclear device twice in the past, and haven't learned a lot from it. They would have dismantled all nuclear weapons in their country a long, long time ago and destroid all scientific materials as well, if they would have learned a lesson. Allowing Israel to plan to use a nuclear device, I don't care what kind of nuclear device, would be a crime against humanity.

And, please leave Kate Middleton, prince William's girlfriend, alone. She is nothing special, look at the picture of her above this post, (I think I'm a lot more beautiful) and William is just a kid born in the wrong family. William lost his mother to paparazzi who followed her, made her live a living hell. Don't do it to his love.

A huge avalanche knocked two cars off a mountain pass Saturday, on the main highway to one of Colorado's largest ski areas, shortly after crowds headed through on the way to the lifts.

The gruesome tale of India’s “house of horrors”, a serial murder case that has transfixed the nation for a week, took an intriguing twist yesterday, when forensic scientists investigating the killing of at least 17 people in an upmarket Delhi suburb, prepared to apply truth serum, sodium penthanol, to the two prime suspects.

Momofuku Ando, the Japanese inventor of instant noodles, a dish that has kept me alive for a long, long time, has died. And who said that instant noodles are not good for your health? He was 96 year old when he died.

Those were the headlines for today. I knew of course what was happening in India, the serial killing of children and all of that, but I didn't mention it as I thought that other things were more important. Oh boy, was I wrong. Why, well there are several very interesting points to make here.

1. Although the missing children were reported to the police, they didn't do anything. The house owner was rich and influential, and the children were poor.
2. It looks that the organs of the victems where harvested. Police are now investigating a medical doctor as well with regards to this case. It's very noble of people to offer a kidney or any other part of their body to help people in need. It's morally wrong to pay a poor person to offer his organs for transplantation. But to kill, and not just one person, but loads of them, for this purpose is macabre.
3. Police is using "Truth serum" to find out if more people have been killed. The same article went on telling that other interogation methods would be used as well, for about 3 days in a row. This looks like that the police decided to start using methods which are illegal, and any evidence gathered will not be admissable in court. This would mean that in any western country, just by using these interogation tactics, the murderers would be free within days. Nice country India.

And lets all be quiet for 1 minute. The inventor of instant noodles has died. He died at age 96, so my guess is that living on a diet of instant noodles can get you very old.

Those were the headlines for today. You see, the French are smarter then most other people. They realized before invading Iraq that it wasn't a good idea. They said so then. They say so today. The Americans got very upset with them, and banned French Fries from their menus, that is to say, they renamed them, as they would still like to eat them, but hated to be reminded to the fact that they were called: "French Fries". But if only president Bush and his friends had paid some attention to why the French thought that it would be a very bad idea to invade Iraq, a lot of the current problems could have been avoided. A lot of Arabs use as their second language French and that is not a coincident. French influence in that region is big, and they know very well what can and what can't be done there. There are some similarities between Arabs and Southeast Asians: one of them is: the don't fight wars in a way easily understandable for Americans. They don't play by the book, probably because they have never read it, or they couldn't care less. And now president Bush is concidering sending even more troops into Baghdad. The best thing he can do is get out as soon as possible.

Wife of 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin handed tape of death. Authorities gave the video of "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin's fatal encounter with a stingray to his family, and destroyed all copies, to prevent the grisly footage from being made public, an Australian state coroner said Thursday.

A Web video of Al Qaeda's No. 2 leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, surfaced Thursday and called on Muslims throughout the Middle East to wage a jihad against Ethiopian forces occupying Somalia. "You have to use ambushes and mines, and raids and suicidal attacks until you rend and eat your prey as the lion does with his prey," al-Zawahiri declared.

Wesley is in my eyes a "Superman", and I would like to have a date with him. And I do respect the fact that the tape containing images of Steve Irwin's death will NEVER be released to the public. What is more disturbing is the message from Ayman al-Zawahiri in which he called on Muslims to wage a Jihad against Ethiopian forces. The fact that Al Qaeda, which is a terrorist organisation, encourages Muslims to commit suicide is deplorable. And depicting Ethiopian forces as "American" is plane and silly stupid. The majority of Americans couldn't care less about Ethiopia, and Ethiopia is certainly not seen as an important American aly in that part of the world. It would be nice if all sides could agree to leave religion out of the equation, when waging wars. If you fight a war, then please concentrate on the real reason: that is economical power. So, waging a Jihad is a very stupid and irresponsible thing to do.

Rescuers scoured the ocean for a missing jetliner Wednesday, one day after senior Indonesian officials erroneously said the Boeing 737's charred wreckage had been found in a remote mountainous area and that a dozen people may have survived.

No, then those poor Indonesian authorities. They mistakenly anounced that they had found Adam Air's missing Boeing 737. No, they did not find it, and no, there are certainly no survivors. This is a case of: lost in paradise. I hope that they will find the plane very soon, as everyone needs closure. It's not good for the family members not to know what exactly happened to their loved ones. Mistakes like these made by the Indonesians should never be alowed to be made. It's a clear sign of disrespect for human life.

Thailand's powerful military council on Wednesday declared that New Year's Eve bomb attacks in Bangkok were staged by politicians, and renegade army officers loyal to exiled Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who want to topple the government.

Rio de Janeiro's new government and Brazil's top security official will meet Wednesday, to discuss sending federal troops to the city to combat a wave of gang violence, that President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has called "terrorism".

Grainy cell phone video of Saddam Hussein's execution, triggered international criticism Tuesday, with Britain's deputy prime minister calling the leaked images "unacceptable", and the Vatican decrying the footage as a "spectacle" violating human rights. I have seen the video as well, and I do agree. It's shocking. This should never have happened.

Those were the headlines for today. The execution of Saddam Hussein, was an unacceptable spectacle, but, from a commercial point of view, it was also a big hit. My guess is that it outperformed all special new year tv shows around the world. The fact that I showed a picture of Saddam on the gallows was a major driving force that an unprecedented amount of people looked at my final episode for 2006. Although I'm very happy with the huge amount of viewers, it's with mixed feelings. Why is the death of an ex-dictator so much more interesting to know about then for example the death of a husband who died, trying to safe his family? My guess is that Thailand is one of the safest places on earth for foreigners. Thais can be cruel among them selves, but that goes on for as long as I can remember. Do understand, although I live in Thailand for a long, long time, I'm not Thai. But I adopted this country as my home country because I'm totally safe here. And so are you. Please don't let the actions of some deranged people, no matter who they are, let you scare away.

The world ushers in New Year. Revelers rang in the new year around the globe with fireworks, cheers and kisses, except here in Thailand. Violence canceled celebrations here, when a series of nine bombs exploded in Bangkok, killing three people, and wounding around 30 more. It was just a matter of time that this was going to happen. But I'm not happy with it.

Police Hunt Killer of Broncos Cornerback Darrent Williams. Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was killed early Monday when his white stretch Hummer was sprayed by bullets after a nightclub dispute following a New Year's Eve party. Police have no motive and no indication the 24-year-old player was targeted in the drive-by shooting of the limousine. The burst of violence occurred hours after the Broncos were eliminated from playoff contention.

And finally: three children who were missing, after their mother was found slain in their home, have been found unharmed, Montgomery County Police said Monday night.

Those were the headlines for today. I hope you had a good New Years party, I certainly did. Only heard this afternoon that we had serious problems in Bangkok on the 31st. Placing bombs is the lowest thing one can do. You will always hurt innocent people, and I realy don't care why those terrorist did it. It doesn't matter if they are Muslims from the South, or political friends from ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra. This not acceptable.

The police is hunting for the killer(s) of Darent Williams, who was the cornerback of the Broncos. According to the article they don't have a clue as to why he got killed, although Williams was involved in a fight at a Night club only hours before, and the Broncos were eliminated from play-off contention. Saddam Hussein is executed for war crimes. Saddam Hussein struggled briefly, after American military guards handed him over to Iraqi executioners. But as his final moments approached, he grew calm. He clutched a Quran as he was led to the gallows, and in one final moment of defiance, refused to have a hood pulled over his head, before facing the same fate he was accused of inflicting on countless thousands during a quarter-century of ruthless power. May he rest in peace.

This is the last episode of "Can you repeat that please?" for this year. 2006 was a year which brought us much missery from around the world. The wars in Iraq and Darfur are far from over. North Korea and Iran are posing a serious threat to the world with their nuclear programs. And there were so many individuals who committed horendous crimes. I hope for every one that 2007 will bring us far better news. I will be there to report on it, starting Tuesday 2 January 2007.

Those were the headlines for today. According to the article I read on the Playboy Indonesia's editor, and just have a look at their one and only cover which I reproduced as the tumbnail for this entry, Playboy Indonesia was a much watered down version from the American one, or for that matter, any western country's edition. No nudety at all. The article continued saying that, although illegal, porn movies on VCD and DVD are openly on sale in many places in Indonesia, and many magazines published are sexually for more graphically then Playboy Indonesia ever would be. The problem here is that Playboy is seen as one of Westerns great icons, representing in this case everything what is rejectable. Indonesia is home to the largest Muslim population on earth, and most of them are practizing their religion in a moderate manner. There are however hardliners who are seriously trying to go back to the basics. For all those people who are so opposed to sexy looking girls I have one question. Where do babies come from in Indonesia? Are they bought in a supermarket, or were they preceded by some serious sex between husband and wife? Don't tell me that I can't be proud of my body. And not everything that comes from the West equals bad influence.

And I'm afraid that Saddam is going to die very, very soon. His lawyer made a very reasonable request to all countries in the world by requesting that Saddam would not be handed over to the Iraqi authorities. He is, so argued the lawyer, a prisoner of war, and should not be handed over to his enemies. My best guess is that the Americans will hand him over, as soon as they can, and get it over with. But I think, that hanging Saddam would be a very, very big mistake. That could be the prelude to a very serious, filled with much violence, period. Hanging Saddam could make living and working in major cities around the world dangerous.

Murders are up in New York, and other big cities. After many years of decline, the number of murders climbed this year in New York, and many other major U.S. cities, reaching their highest levels in a decade in some places. Among the reasons given: gangs, drugs, the easy availability of illegal guns, a disturbing tendency among young people to pull guns when they do not get the respect they demand, and, in Houston at least, an influx of Hurricane Katrina evacuees.

Miami International Airport says there was nothing wrong with their lights and still a very dangerous situation developed when a plane, with Tony Blair and family on board, over shot the runway. I asume the pilot was not drunk. America is a friendly country to the U.K. We know however that people are calling for Mr. Blair to resign as soon as possible. These calls come from within his own country. Could this have been something far more sinister then we are being told?

Those were the headlines for today. How stupid can one be? Don't they know that it is NOT a good idea to vandalize a pipeline which transport petrol. Don't they know that stealing petrol is very, very wrong? Don't they know that petrol, and the gasses coming with it, can explode when there is only one little spark? 260 petrol thiefs died. Hope that the surviving people there did learn their lessons. If you want something buy it. Don't steal it. Gerald Ford died, age 93. He was the president who had to take over from Richard Nixon, and my guess is that is the only thing most people know of him. May he rest in peace. People in Iraq believe in swift justice. They promised to execute Saddam within 30 days, and they don't care that the poor man is still in court defending himself against other serious crimes. Those were the headlines for today. The question today is could the British have avoid killing those renegade police officers? Of course one can never aprove torture, and when prisoners are tortured on your watch, you are responsible, so the British had to do something. I understand that. But didn't they have a different option then going in there with tanks and blowing up the building after they set free the prisoners. The prisoners were not arrested for nothing. At least, I supposed that there was a reason for their arrests. In one of the most dangerous countries of the world, with very few murder cases solved, police want to see results. And those results do not come automatically, so they use their imagination in interviewing their suspects. A bit like when Tom Cruise almost throws the bad guy out of a plane, when he refuses to give answers in the film MI III. It's not good. No, it's very bad. But under the given circumstances, it's understandable. No one killed Tom Cruise, and my guess is, the British should not have killed the police officers. Arresting them and bringing them to face justice would have been the civilized option.

The French Defense Ministry strenuously denied a report Thursday, that its special forces in Afghanistan twice had Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden in their sights, but did not get the go-ahead to kill him.

Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert agreed Saturday to release $100 million in frozen funds, to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and ease West Bank travel restrictions, goodwill gestures that revived hopes for a resumption of peace talks, after years of hostility and distrust.

According to the CIA it will be more then likely that a terrorist attack will be aimed against the Canal tunnel. Both the French and the British are taking step to avoid any mishaps. Let me explain something to you here: any mode of transportation, or any structure which handles large amounts of people, is a possible target for terrorist attacks. You can do either 2 things: 1 Be very careful and go on with your life, or 2 get so scared that you ruin your social life. By giving this warning, the CIA it self made a terrorist attack to the Canal tunnel, and all those people who are possible going to use it, to go to or from England to mainland Europe. The CIA just scared millions of people, not just a little bit, no people are scared seriously. And is that not what terror is all about. Not just about killing people. No, terror is also about scaring those who didn't die. And that is exactly what people like Usama Bin Laden wants to happen. Chaos, and more chaos. By giving warnings like these, against individual targets, or complete countries like Indonesia, one doesn't safe lives, but do create serious economical damage to the intended targets. The terrorists couldn't have done it better them selves. Let everyone just go one with their lives, and be careful whatever you do, where ever you go. It does not make a lot of difference for you personally if you get killed by a bomb or by a speeding car. Your dead in both cases. And if you are anything like me, just avoid lots of people, as large groups of people are per definition dangerous. With or without terrorists in attendence.

I don't know all the details, but I think it's crazy to sentence those nurses and a doctor to death. The blood they gave to children was infected with HIV, and so they killed, or possibly could have, killed those children. First of all, I don't know if they knew that the blood was infected to start with. Secondly, you don't give a blood infusion to anyone if you don't have a good, medical, reason to do so. That reason is: you try to safe that person's life. Aids is a horrible desease. Killing far to many people on this world. But health workers, asuming that they were acting in good fate, should be protected against the concequences of infecting a patient with this HIV virus. I hope that someone in Lybia will show some mercy, this with Christmas coming up, and pardon those people. Sent them back home that would be the best solution for everyone.

India toughens laws to prevent child marriages

India tightened laws against child marriage on Tuesday, with priests, police or local leaders facing jail and fines if they permit the widespread but illegal practice. Renuka Chowdhury, minister for women and children, said the Prohibition of Child Marriage Bill 2006 passed on Tuesday gives protection to tens of thousands of children forced into marriage every year.

"When we tell our children that they cannot vote when they are 15 years of age, we do not allow them to drive or to drink, then how is it that we think that they are capable of getting married?," Chowdhury asked the Lok Sabha.

It is strange isn't it, to arrange for your child to marry on such a young age. Before they know what love is. Before they are actually interested in the opposite sex. The reason is not clear to me: Are there not enough suitable partners, thus the ratio boys/girls is off balance, so one has to marry a partner as soon as one is spotted. Is it economically stability where the parents are looking for? I really don't know.

What I do know, from documentaries and articles, is that the girls have to move to her husbands family's home, and most of the time she will not have a very good time. I'm happy. I'm 26 years old, and no one told me, or is going to tell me, that I have to marry. That is up to me. And that is how it should be every where in the world. Don't spoil your child's youth by asking him/her to act as a grown-up. Childhood is short enough to start with.

Chad troops chase rebels in Sudan. Troops from Chad entered Sudan's Darfur region in pursuit of Chadian rebels on Friday, as the U.N. and humanitarian aid groups prepared to pull some workers out of a key border town, fearing an imminent battle.

The world's first cloned cat just became a mother. (she even did it without test tubes). Copy Cat, who was cloned by Texas A&M University researchers in 2001, had three kittens in September. Mother and kittens are doing well, said Duane Kraemer, an A&M veterinary medicine professor who helped clone her, and has been taking care of her since.

President Hugo Chavez said Friday that Fidel Castro is not dying of cancer, saying he had spoken with the ailing Cuban leader by phone, and he is eating cautiously and well enough to joke.

Those were the headlines for today. Chad troops chase rebels in Sudan. There is this terrible war going on in the Darfur region of Sudan. A war that gets more, and more complicated day by day, as this story illustrates. Because, what have Chad troups to do in Sudan? Did they declaire war? No, they didn't, and have no intention of doing so, but they are using their right to chase rebel troups. This war already costs, acording to the article I read today, more then 200,000 people their lives, and made numerous people homeless. Although I have to admit, I have no idea why people are fighting each other there, I do know that this is a huge crisis, and something structural should be done, to bring peace to that region. Actor George Clooney puts a lot of his personal resources on the line to help those poor people from Darfur. We should do as well.

There's no revolution in Belgium. Really

Suddenly and shockingly, Belgium came to an end. State television broke into regular programming late Wednesday with an urgent bulletin: The Dutch-speaking half of the country had declared independence and the king and queen had fled. Grainy pictures from the military airport showed dark silhouettes of a royal entourage boarding a plane. Only after a half hour did the station flash the message: "This is fiction." It was too late. Many Belgians had already fallen for the hoax.

Let me tell you a secret. Most of you won't know it, but I lived in the Netherlands, before I moved to Bangkok a long, long time ago. And as such I know Belgium and it's people very well. When the Dutch are making jokes about stupid people, the Belgians are the ones who are depicted as being stupid. OK, they don't speak perfect Dutch, it's a weird accent, and I'm not so sure if they would be welcomed back to the Netherlands, but I really never concidered them to be stupid. That was, until now.

Staging a fake revolution is a very dangerous thing to do. You never know who believes it, and jumps on the band wagon, killing people along the way. Insulting your royal family by saying that they have abandoned their country and people at the first signs of trouble, is unforgivable.

For those who don't know what the situation is in Belgium: the Northern part of the country speaks Flamish, a language which is very closely related to Dutch. The Southern part of the country speaks French. And those 2 groups of people have had their problems together for a long, long time. Nothing serious. No killings, no torture. No, but they ignore each other if possible. Occasionaly the tension between the 2 groups flares up again.

In this case, the TV station made this hoax up to start a discussion. Those were the headlines. I would like to get back to the first story: The blind sheik who is very sick. The FBI is worried that his death may trigger an attack on the U.S. and they are right to be afraid that something like that may happen. It would be very stupid from the United States to make a martyr out of him, by letting him die in U.S. custody. That is exactly what the enemies of the U.S. are hoping for at this moment. They will take any excuse to justify their Jihad on America. The best thing the U.S. government can do right now is go and get a court injunction, forbidding the Blind Sheik to die. Because, if he dies, the S*** will hit the fan, that is for sure.

Those were the headlines for today. I'm a citizen from a country which is against the death penalty, and I myself am very much against it as well. There are as for as I'm concerned 2 kinds of death penalties in the world, the first one being the kind of: a judge sentence you to death, your lawyers appeal, you loose the appeal, and get executed within a sensable timeframe. (Which is not funny for you, but at least you know what to expect). And then you have the death sentence the U.S. hands out to its killers: you are sentenced to death, spend 15, 20 or more years on death row, in the mean time you start to appeal, and no one wants to listen to you anyway, and then you are executed for something that happened a long, long, time ago. That is not human. That is very, very cruel. Did any murderer wait 20 years to kill his victim? No, I don't think so. If you want to execute someone, do so. But don't let any person, no matter what he/she has done, spend years and years in fear of the execution which might or might not come any day soon.

U.S. Government appeals currency redisign. An effort to force a redesign of the nation's currency, so paper money could be more easily used by the blind, would be too expensive, and could cause undue hardships on the vending machine industry, the Bush administration says. Aha, a vending machine is more important then a blind person!

Video game's religious wars prompt uproar. Targeted largely at conservative Christians, it's a violent video game with a difference: Combatants on one side pause for prayer, and their favored interjection is "Praise the Lord."

Those were the headlines for today. Out of all the countries I have visited, the U.S. is the only country where all demoniations of its paper currency have the same color and the same size. All other countries have color coded their currencies, introduced different sizes, embedded special signs for the blind to recognize etc. Are the citizens of all those other countries stupid? Or do they have a reason for this? And a couple of years ago almost the whole of Europe switched from their national currencies to the Euro. (The U.K. didn't). No one thought: oh this is an undue hardship for the European vending machine industry. It was a given fact, and they had to comply with it. The blind are people also, with the same rights as you and me. Give them proper access to printed currencies please.

School safety

An 11th-grader despondent that his parents might curtail his after-school activities because of poor grades took a rifle to school Tuesday and killed himself between classes in a hallway, authorities said. The gunman, Shane Joseph Halligan, 16, had no intention of hurting anyone else in the 9 a.m. shooting at Springfield Township High School, Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor Jr. said. Halligan was an Eagle Scout and a volunteer firefighter whose poor grades had led his parents on Monday to threaten to cut back on his after-school activities, Castor said.

I keep telling that it's stupid to allow kids access to guns. OK, Shane held no grudge against his teachers or his fellow students, and did not harm anyone else then himself. But perhaps his suicide could have been prevented, if he had no easy access to this gun. Don't misunderstand me here, I fully understand, that it would be very difficult to stop Shane, if he really wanted to commit suicide, but making it harder to commit suicide could have resulted in a 16 year old boy who would be still alive today.

But, that is not really what I would like to talk to you about today. Look at the picture, which is a picture taken at Springfield Township High School, moments after Shane took his own life. A random picture, with just a group of students, and if I see it right a teacher. Out of 16 people I see 5 people who I think are to heavy. Fat. Obese. Those are our children, and we should take better care for them. Those kids will face all kinds of problems right now, or in the near future. Social problems and health problems. Even if you don't care about the kids, you should realize that obesity comes with a heafty pricetag for society.

I don't know if Shane was obese or not. I understand that he was very troubled for other reasons. What I do know is that we should take better care for our offspring, both in emotional care and in health care. They represent our future, and that future looks very gloom at this moment. My thoughts go out to Shane's family in this very difficult time. I wish them all the strenght they need.

U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan took his criticism of the Bush administration to the nation's heartland Monday, saying America must not sacrifice its democratic ideals while waging war against terrorism.

In the hometown of President Harry Truman, who helped found the United Nations, Annan said "human rights, and the rule of law are vital to global security and prosperity."

When the U.S. "appears to abandon its own ideals and objectives, its friends abroad are naturally troubled and confused," Annan told a packed audience at the Truman Presidential Museum and Library.

I would like to thank Mr. Annan for these wise words. I couldn't have said it better myself. However, I included some footage of the attack on the twin towers (9/11) to illustrate why America is fighting this war on terrorism.

John told me today: Jenifer: don't forget the war in Darfur. Without any doubt that is the most deadliest war at this moment, and I can't agree more with him. It's an easy war to forget because it's not constantly in the news, which it should be. Weddings take place amid Iraq bloodshed. Despite Iraq's terrible violence, young couples such as 23-year-old Hussein Ali and Sumaya Jassim are marrying and trying to live normal lives. In a country where tens of thousands have died and even more have been displaced by nearly four years of war, this requires bravery, ingenuity and compromise.

Augusto Pinochet died, age 91

Ex Dictator, general Pinochet died age 91 in a Santiago hospital, in Chile, on Sunday 10 December 2006. President Bush's thoughts went out to the many victims of General Pinochet's regime, this according to the White House. In the U.K. however, former prime minister Margaret Thatcher was deeply saddened by the news of his dead, and she would send her condoleances to his wife.
2 completely opposite reactions to the dead of a man who was the former strongman of Chile. In today's article I would like to talk to you about ex prime minister Margaret Thatchers reaction to General Pinochet's dead. Lady Thatcher, the Iron Lady, showed something which I can't describe else as, warm and human, to the family of ex dictator Pinochet. And that is something which I had not expected from her. But she has a good reason to concider General Augusto Pinochet as a good friend. Remember when the U.K. was fighting Argentina over the Falklands (some rocks near the South pole). Well, a book has revealed that Chile's military intelligence has helped Britain during this 1980's conflict.
According to this book, Chile provided intelligence to the U.K. in return for half-price military aircraft. This book, "The official history of the Falklands War", details this deal between the governments of Margaret Thatcher and General Augusto Pinochet. The Chilean military provided key information on the movement of Argentine forces and other assistance, and in return were offered a cut-price deal on the purchase of military aircraft. At a time when the world condemned General Pinochet, and wanted him out of office as soon as possible, as numerous people were tortured and killed during his regime, the United Kingdom thought it was a good idea to have good and warm relations with his regime. Why, well, you can't be at odds with all countries in a specific region, and the U.K. had already it's problems with Argentina.
Apart from the soldiers who died in the Falklands war, on both sides, the U.K. was indirectly responsible for all those crimes against humanity which went on in Chile during General Pinochet's reign. And all that only to protect some rocks where no one wants to live to start with. Decisions to topple dictators, or to keep them in place, are not made on a humanitarian basis. No, humanitarian reasons are only given to disguise the real reasons a dictator has to go. In this case, although a menace for it's own people, Pinochet proved to be a valuable asset to the U.K. So there was no reason to make an effort of ousting him. When countries are making a joint effort to oust a dictator, one can be ensured that the main reason is that the dictator in questions hold no longer any economical value for those countries. Humanitarian reasons have nothing to do with it.
This brings me to Iraq. Did the situation in that country improve, with Hussein gone, and on his way to the gallows? No. According to resent studies, violence in Iraq is far more worse then it has ever been during Hussein's dictatorship. More people die a violent death on a daily basis in Iraq, then in any other country. Perhaps we should Iraq give back it's former leader, get out of there as fast as we can, and just hope for the best of it.

Hello there. If there were only 2 persons on earth who you could date? Who would you chose? Donald Rumsfeld or Mohammad Yunus? For me, it's not a difficult decision. I would go for Mr. Yunus. I think he deserved the Nobel Peace price. (and Mr. Yunus, I could use some money, so if you have some to spare).

Donald Rumsfeld takes goodbye tour in Iraq. He told the soldiers there that the consequences of losing this war were unexceptable. So, let me think about this carefully: he goes there, and tells those poor soldiers, who put their live in the balance, each and every minute they go out, to get their act together? It was Mr. Rumsfeld himself, together with President Bush, who f... up to start with. Don't blame a soldier for your own mis judgements, Mr. Rumsfeld.

Enormous crowds flood Beirut in protest. If it's up to Hezbollah, there would be no Western backed government in Lebanon. And they are doing their best to make sure that they are included in the government.

And last but not least, Nobel Peace laureate Mohammad Yunus urges world leaders to fight poverty and stop wasting money on wars. I can't agree more with Mr. Yunus.

Fiancee of Shooting Victim Changes Name

She lost her fiance in a hail of police gunfire on their wedding day, but a court has ruled that Nicole Paultre can still have his name.
A civil court judge approved an application to legally change her name to Nicole Paultre Bell, in memory of the victim of the Nov. 25 shooting, Sean Bell, her lawyer said Friday.

That is good, I mean, it's good for the children to have a mother who has the same surname as they have. It will be difficult enough to explain to them what has happened to their father and why it did happen.

The same article went on saying that the 5 police officers, who shot 50 rounds at Sean Bell on the night before his wedding, are on paid leave, until the grand jury made a decision on wether they should be prosecuted yes or no.

I would say: YES, they should be prosecuted, and all 5 of them should be sentenced to death. Why? To serve as an example to their fellow law enforcement officials that it is NOT acceptable to society to shoot innocent, unarmed civilians who might have been drunk, and created a car accident. These were the streets of New York, not the streets of Baghdad.

3 dead in Chicago skyscraper shooting

A gunman in a downtown skyscraper shot four people Friday, killing two of them, and took a hostage before being killed after police fired at him, authorities said.The shootings in the top floor of the 38-story Citigroup Center, which also houses a train station, sent office workers fleeing and stranded rush-hour commuters.

Yesterday it was a student who shot himself, not on purpose, in a classroom, today this guy in Chicago, and this goes on and on.

Having a gun is not cool. And knowing how to fire one is just simply dangerous. We are all very concerned with terorism, and we should. We should however also have a very close look at our society. It's acceptable that a family has weapons in their house for, supposedly, self defence. Carying these weapons outside your house, unless you are working for a law enforcement agency, should be strictly prohibited at all times.

At the end of last month this granny of 90 years or older, I forgot, was shot after she first shot a couple of police officers. This made me think: in what kind of world do we live, that we are so afraid for strangers.

Let's try to start 2007, which is only a couple of days away, make the safest year ever. Throw away your weapons, of mass destruction or not, and try to talk about your problems, before using violence in any form.

But whatever you do, don't forget to love a soldier.

Space Shuttle launch attempt set for Saturday. Stymied once this week because of clouds, NASA is skipping a Friday launch attempt for space shuttle Discovery.

Saudis reportedly funding Iraqi Sunnis. Private Saudi citizens are giving millions of dollars to Sunni insurgents in Iraq. Much of the money is used to buy weapons, including shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles, according to key Iraqi officials and others familiar with the flow of cash.

Princess Diana hearings to be held in public. British hearings into the deaths of Princess Diana and her companion Dodi al Fayed will be held in public, after a decision that they should be conducted in secret was reversed. It would be nice to know what really has happened, but my guess is we will never know.

Space Shuttle launch attempt set for Saturday

Stymied once this week because of clouds, NASA is skipping a Friday launch attempt for space shuttle Discovery.

This article continues explaining that the cost for NASA, every time a Space Shuttle launch is skipped, is $ 500,000. But obviously they have enough money, and they keep delaying and postponing. Imagine that this was a regular form of, expensive, public transport. (They are planning a moon base) and there is no way to tell when the space shuttle will arive.

I for one would not be happy. I hate it when I have to wait for a bus, and here they say, lets wait a couple of days longer. The weather is not really improving, but well, you never know.

Yes, there are some clouds, making it difficult to see where the Space Shuttle is going, but by now they should know: it is going to the International Space Station, wasting more money. I mean, what difference does it make that you can't follow the shuttle visually. They have computers, radars, very smart radio communications, and all of that is not able to stop disaster if it strikes. Just hope the best for it, and get on with your job.

(Further delaying this flight might even destroy the holidays for the austronauts. And that is not funny for their families).

Hezbollah vows end to Lebanon government

Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah promised thousands of supporters Thursday that they would eventually bring down Lebanon's Western-backed government, but the prime minister vowed to stand firm against protesters.

They really don't like westerners there, in the middle east it is. And I have no idea why that is the case. We've made them rich beyond believe. We pay a lot of money for their oil, and without our money the only 2 things they would have is: a lot of sand (which is worthless) and a lot of oil.

No Westerners in Lebanon, or any where near by, like Israel. To dangerous for their culture. They kill an awful lot of people, under the disguise of their religion. Note, that I say disguise, because the real reason is simple: power. Who ever holds the power, controls the money.

The current situation in Lebanon is NOT good. It threatens to destroy the country, and since Hezbollah is connected to Syria and Iran, countries who are not known for their love of Westerners, it will bring a lot of uncertainty, and more violence to the region. My father always told me: "if there will be a World War III, it will start in the Middle East".

Lets get our act together, and live together in peace and harmony, no matter which religion you worship. No matter wether you are rich or poor. Killing innocent people, in Iraq, Lebanon or anywhere else on this planet is so unbelieveble low, I can't imagine that anyone wants to do that.

French vinters aim for younger drinkers...

France has a huge wine problem. Although it is widely known that the French love to drink wine, and take drinking wine very serious, they are drinking conciderably less of the stuff then they used to do. 10 years ago each Frenchman would drink around 425 glasses of wine per year. At this moment however, the same guy only drinks around 250 glasses.

The problem is that the wine industry still produces a lot of wine, and so are other countries around the world. But with less wine consumption in their own country, the French decided to do something about it.

I hear you think: and what might that be Jenifer? Well, they decided to start to teach their children how to drink wine, and how to appreciate wine as well.

It's a strange country, France that is. Anywhere else in the civilized world, including Thailand, people are discouraged drinking to much. A minimum age is very often enforced to avoid that children start drinking at a young age, because, as everyone knows, alcohol is NOT good for children. But in France they think: get the little buggers started as soon as possible, if possible mix some of the wine with the milk the mothers are feading their infants. No, that is not true also, but you get the idea.

The France produce a lot of cheese as well. And of course very nice bread. What I can see happen in the future of this great country (which brings us the Tour de France every year) is that school children will be served a lunch concisting of: 1 small loaf of bread, smelly cheese, and 1 pint of red / white wine. This will keep the students quiet for the remainder of the day, and teachers will love it.

Parents to Stand Trial in Kidnapping!!!

A couple accused of kidnapping their daughter to prevent her from getting married were ordered to stand trial Wednesday after she emotionally described how they grabbed her by the hair and pressed her against a van at a rural gas station.

Yes, and you thought they make it all up in "The Bold and the Beautiful", "As the world turns", and whatever the names are of all those soaps. No, no, no. It's real life.

It looks that there is a lot of damage done in this family. And, to be honest: I don't know for whom to feel more sorry: for the daughter because she was not allowed to marry the love of her live, or for the parents who are facing a possible 15 years jail sentence, because the daughter (and her husband) are obviously unforgiving.

The good news in this story is that at this point no one was shot to dead, no one was seriously hurt, except of course their egos. Is this a good way to enter the holiday season? No, I don't think so.

If I were the judge in this case I would do everything possible to contain further damage in this strained family relation. I certainly would not sentence the parents to any jail time, but if possible, would advice the newly weds and the parents to seek profesional help.

Indian city bans hand-pulled rickshaws

The east Indian city of Kolkata has banned hand-pulled rickshaws after a debate that raged for more than a year and ended in a vote boycotted by the opposition.

I never realized that there were still places on earth where people were pulling rickshaws. And why would they not be pulling rickshaws? The poor people who are pulling the rickshaws HAVE to do something to feed there families, and this is as a god and honest job.

The city of Kolkata is endangering the livelyhood of all those poor rickshaw-pullers by introducing this ban. But those who are in charge have obvious enough money to drive around in big cars, so they won't care.

I was just wondering if the next step would be something like: everyone has to prepare his/her own food, as it is rediculous to have someone preparing your food. And the same can be said of course for cleaning your house etc.

Please get real there in India. People will have to work to eat. And if their job is: pulling a rickshaw, so be it. Don't take away someone's job, especially if you can't make any other suitable work offers.

Helicopter pilots attempt pole-to-pole journey.

Two British-based pilots set off into a blue Texas sky on Tuesday on their second attempt to fly around the world via the North and South poles in a helicopter, one of the last great unaccomplished feats of aviation.

The expedition will take over five months, covering around 36,000 nautical miles and making 126 fuel stops in over 30 countries, before coming back to Fort Worth in Texas next May.

"Why do you climb a mountain? It's all about the challenge," Jennifer Murray, 66, one of the pair, told Reuters when asked why she had undertaken such an expedition.

Those 60+ year olds, baby boomers, are doing things normal people would not even concider doing. NBC's Nightly News, presented by Brian Williams, had some remarkable reports on baby boomers activities this year. But I think this tops all of it. "It's all about the challenge", yeh sure. Or does it has something to do with being afraid of getting older? The need to keep proving that you are still capable of doing insane things.

Did Jennifer Murray ever think of what her family will go through during the next 5 months. Expecting that horrible telephone call any second, at which time they are informed of a helicopter crash. Those things do happen to drop out of the sky, you know.

I think it would be a better idea if people would lock her up, and throw away the key, until she reaches such an age that flying in a helicopter becomes impossible.

Bush accepts John Bolton's resignation.

Lacking the votes to keep his job, embattled U.N. Ambassador John Bolton said Monday he would resign. This comes after a chagrined President Bush, who had clung to hopes of Senate confirmation, accepted Bolton's resignation.

Perhaps it's just me, but I never really liked John Bolton. Of course, I have no idea if he's a good ambassador, nor do I have any working experiences with him. But, I just don't like his face. He looks like a grumpy old man. (Did you notice all those WHITE hairs in his mustache?)

You never see Mr. Bolton laugh when he appears on TV. Yes, I know, he is always engaged in serious business. Like having to ask the world: "what can we do with North Korea?". Or Iraq, or Iran, or... you name a country full of terrorists, and Mr. Bolton had an issue with them in the U.N. But, doesn't he understand: people like him are giving America a bad reputation. It looks like there are only very old, and serious living in that country. And I hope that that is not true. (Come to think about it, Bill Gosby is getting older also, but at least, he is not serious).

But, personally, I don't see any reason why Mr. Bolton has to go. He is just the messenger, delivering the message from his bosses in the White House. Changing the messenger is not likely going to chang the message. And at least, with Mr. Bolton as an ambassador, you know that you have an experienced agitator in the house, who is not afraid of anyone.

Only a couple of more days to go and it's Christmas. Thus, it is time for you to buy a "I love Jenifer T-shirt" or something else from my shop. Give it to yourself, or to a loved one in your family. They will be pleasantly surpriced. Go, and start shopping today. (I had to do that, you know, a girl has to eat also).

Hillary Clinton hires national fundraiser...

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has made several key staff hires for her likely presidential bid and in her outreach to New York Democrats convinced at least one she soon would become a candidate.

"I don't think she ever outright said it, but there's no doubt in my mind that she's going to run," said Rep. Joseph Crowley, who spoke with Clinton on Monday. "It was a very exciting and exhilarating conversation. I don't know how often it happens in a lifetime when someone calls you up and says, 'I want you to know I'm doing this and I want your support.'"

Yes, I can't agree more. It is exiting for all of us, no matter where we are, to see that a woman plans to run for the number 1 job in the U.S.A. I don't expect that it will be better, or worse, then if a man would be running the White House. No. But different. Yes. She has proven to be smart, she is supposed to be a good lawyer. She has proven to be unscrupulous, without any moral values, like any potential president candidate. If not, she would have left Bill the moment after it became public knowledge that he had this "thing" with Monica. Hillary is absolutely made of the right material to become America's first female president.

RoboSalmon to spy on fish...

RoboSalmon, an underwater robot meant to spy on the real fish, is being developed at Glasgow University. The robot has a built-in camera to broadcast images of real fish back to the operators of the device. Zoologists will use RoboSalmon to monitor various fish species in their natural habitat.

This newsclip is brought to you by the producers of 007. I hope it is just a coincident that this robosalmon is developed at this time. Or perhaps it was not a coincident, and the British secret service has decided: enough is enough. James Bond is outperformed at the box-office by a couple of penguins, so how could that happen. And, thus they send in a "RoboSalmon" to spy on those poor penguins.

Or someone thought: yes it's not a good idea to keep poisoning real spies, like Mr. Litvinenko. Cutting the power of a RoboSalmon is a lot easier, and doesn't create international outrage.

On a more serious note: what can this "RoboSalmon" tell us what we not already know? Scientist are studying underwater life for a real long time, and that results, among other things, in beautiful TV documentaries. This smells to me as throwing away money. I have no serious problems with the fact that universities and governments want to throw away their money, as long they throw it my way, and it doesn't look that that is happening right now.

Bush aide: 'We have not failed in Iraq'

While President Bush acknowledges the need for major changes in Iraq, he will not use this week's Iraq Study Group report as political cover for bringing troops home, his national security adviser said Sunday.

"We have not failed in Iraq,"Stephen Hadley said as he made the talk show
rounds. "We will fail in Iraq if we pull out our troops before we're in a
position to help the Iraqis succeed." But he added: "The president understands
that we need to have a way forward in Iraq that is more successful."

It looks to me that Asian values are more and more important for American leaders. Admitting failure in Asia means loose of face, and that is something you want to avoid here at all costs. But perhaps it would be good for America, Iraq and all the soldiers involved, by now you should know that I love soldiers very much, if America would acknowledge defeat, does admits that it did triggered a civil war in Iraq, and that there is no easy way out of this mess.

Loosing face does NOT mean the end of the world, or the end of president Bush's career. NOT acknowledging the fact that you are a serious part of the current problem might trigger World War III, as Muslim countries, and not just individual terrorists, are more, and more anti Western countries.

Don't think that I hate America, or any other western country, no why should I. Some of my best friends are Americans, Australians, people from the U.K. etc. I'm just a very concerned girl who is afraid that we are heading towards more and more violence, making this a very BAD world to live in, no matter where we are.

If everyone could just be like Mark Warren, one of my friends, he is an American, who introduced me to the Ultimate Wealth Package at a moment when I needed help most. Wolf hater admits poisoning protected species...

A very nasty man, who happens an apponent of the governments plan to reestablish the gray wolf in parts of the U.S. admitted that he poisoned some of the animals. If there is one thing that I really hate, then it is cruelty to animals. We people are supposed to protect animals, make sure that they are still around for our great, great, great grandchildren to enjoy. I'm not even going to try to understand this coward. If you start to poison animals, then what can we expect if this person is placed near little children?

My advice to the judge who will have to sentence this guy sooner or later: 5 x live, plus a bonus of an extra 20 years. Make sure he will never ever be able to hurt an animal again.

Thankfully, I have friends who are a lot better then that guy. At SMS.ac for instance, I have around 610 friends, who I love dearly. One of my friends, Mark Warren, helped me out when I needed help most. My videos, yes like the one above this message, were not grossing a lot of money, and Mark introduced me to his Ultimate Wealth Package. Afghan opium cultivation grows 61 percent

Opium poppy cultivation shot up a whopping 61 percent in Afghanistan this year in a setback for US and NATO efforts to clamp down on the country's illegal drug industry, according to new figures released by the White House.

There are a number of reasons for this setback for the United States and its allies. Let me explain it to you in plain and simple English why ANY effort from outsiders will face recistance in Afghanistan.

The Afghan people are, like most other people from other countries, a proud people, and fiercely independent. They are doing what they think is right. What they think is right might not always be the opinion of the rest of the world, but such is life.
The Russians fought a war against the Afghan people and had to leave in defeat. Of course, they lost from the Afghan people, mostly due to Rambo, the American soldier who created serious problems for the Russians.
Opium is a very high profit crop. For everyone involved. It does not matter if you are the farmer or the final distributor at street level, each and everyone is making a decent profit from opium. That the product is illegal is just a minor problem.
The value of opium, and everything which is produced from opium, will remain high as long as the products are illegal. And thus, as a result, farmers will keep planting this crop because it brings in the needed cash for their communities.

If the U.S. and the NATO are serious about fighting this illegal crop, and fighting terrorism in Afghanistan, then they will have to come up with an alternative for all people involved. It does not make sence to declair something illegal, and then leave the people without a source of income.

One of the things they could do is introduce them to Mark Warren, a handsome guy I met in a coffee shop while I was playing around at the internet. Problem gamblers have poorer health...

According to a serious study, which was probably very well sponsored by all kind of government organisations, well according to this study problem gamblers have a poorer health. They might even die before there time. There are a couple of reasons for this, may I say it, obvious outcome.

As a gambler you live under constant stress. Do I win, or do I loose. (Loosing is the last thing any serious gambler wants to experience).
How am I going to pay my debts if I loose?
Did I see the debt collector just now, or was it someone who looked like him?

All this would give me instant heart failure, indigestion and all kind of other illnesses. I probably would have died a long time ago.

The question here is: how to improof your health. Easy: stop gambling.

But why are people gambling? Not only for the kick. No, lots of people are gambling because they NEED the extra income they can potentially win. Working a regular 9 to 5 job will not always bring them the amount of money they need. Expensive wife, expensive taste, expensive kids, going to expensive schools, wearing more expensive cloths.

Perhaps these people should do what I'm doing. A good friend of mine, Mark Warren, told me: "Jenifer, if you ever want to do all the things in live that I do, then you have to stop gambling, and take matters in your own hand." Winter storm causes major power failures

The season's first big wintry storm blustered across the Midwest on Friday and closed in on the Northeast, leaving hundreds of thousands without electricity, stranding airline passengers and burying streets in wet, heavy snow.

You're not going to like it, if something like that happens to you. But it is a good time for reflection. You can ask yourself all those important questions like:

What if I had only the money to buy that power generator, so this power failure doesn't effect me,

Why am I still sitting in airports, being a sitting duck for terrorist attacks, no matter wether the terrorist is a Muslim, or comes in the disguise of: the weather it self.

And more to the point: Why am I still living in a Cold part of the United States, while live would be so much more fun if I only could afford to live in California or Florida or some place else where temperatures won't drop below the accepted comfort levels.

I was in exactly the same situation, and I reached the point when I said: enough is enough. My videos at my former home grossed the grand total of $ 28 last month, well you will understand that is not paying any bills.

Just at that moment, I met this (handsome) guy, Mark Warren. He introduced me to his Ultimate Wealth Package. U.S. rates travelers for terror risk.

It seems that the United States, yes the only country in the world which believes firmly in freedom for all, is rating travelers from around the world for more then 4 years.

The purpose of this rating is to access each persons risk of being a terrorist. To a certain degree I understand the U.S., as they are under a constant threat of terror attacks.

However it does not compute to rate someone as a possible terrorist, just because he/she likes to sit at the emergency exit, orders halal food and does a lot of traveling for his job.

It might be better just to ask each traveler to give an honnest answer to the question: do you pose a threat to the U.S., its allies or its citizens, today, or at any possible future date. And if so, what are you planning to do.

This question could be asked on one of the numerous forms one has to fill in traveling to and from the U.S.

On a more serious note: it might be very dangerous to rate innocent people as possible terrorists, as this will create a lot of resistance to the country, and when people are loosing their jobs, as a direct result of the assessment of the U.S., one can only imagine what he / she will do to seek revence.
