Anyone who followed my serie: "Can you repeat that please? news update", and this serie: "Jenifer Bloom, day by day" knows that I'm constantly promoting to love a soldier. Now the US airforce had a soldier whom we all could love without to much problems, sergeant Michelle Manhart, and then they demote her instantly. Why? She posed naked in Playboy and the same photo spread showed her also as how her fellow soldiers know her... in uniform, doing her job. What is wrong with the US military? Don't they realize that Michelle could have done miracles for their soldiers morale? My guess is that her pictures will end up in Iraq on a very large scale, because the boys in uniform have their fantasies like everyone else in this world. I've just promoted Michelle Manhart as my girl of this month, and that is very special indeed, as I'm more of a mans girl myself, if you understand what I mean.

Michelle Manhart is one smart girl, eh? Of course the Air Force is not going to put up with that type of shenanagin. Especially when its so obvious that playboy's entire "air-brush' department had to work overtime on those photos.
Now she's being removed from active duty?
First of all the Michelle Manhart playboy pictures are not what I would call obscene, in fact they look very nice. But everyone knows how anal the U.S. armed forces are. It was not a smart move. Hopefully she received some decent money from the pictures.
Now of course it is too late to do anything about it. The pictures are all over the Internet. Major image and video dump sites like metacafe and dailymotion have, or did have, the pictures. It was reported that the large adult site http://www.freepornvideos69.com (NSFW) has them too.
Now she's probably going to get a dishonorable discharge and thrown completely out of the service. Like I said before, I hope that money was worth it.
She was not demoted at all. There was no mention of an Article 15 or Court Martial and the Air Force doesnt just grab rant.
She was a Guardsman on extended active duty working in an E5 slot, so she wore E5 stripes and got E5 pay.
When they decided to end her extended active duty status she reverted to her actual rank of E4. This is common in the reserves and guard.
As for the pictures, the point ignored by the media is that a Training Instructor they became a liability to maintaining her professional respect with her trainees.
What irks me is her acting like it was no big deal and her feigned shock at the actions. She appeared in the spread in full uniform with pictures of recruits in the pictures as well, which has to violate all manner of privacy regulations and I doubt the recruits signed waivers, or Public Affairs approved it.
Another odd aspect is that she is married but the latest round of stories just calls her a Mother of 2. It is a clear attempt to get sympathy.
